Majors Estate is home to over 60 farm animals including cattle, horses, chickens and goats. The animals play a big role in continuing the estate's vision of a natural, thriving habitat for wildlife. Children and adults of all ages can enjoy a fun, outdoor experience getting to know more firsthand about these fantastic animals.
CHILDREN'S PLAY AREA

At our riverside entertainment area with a gazebo and fire pit, you can sit and gaze over miles of mountain ridges in the distance. It's the perfect area to relax and enjoy the sunsets with your loved ones.
LIGHTED TENNIS COURT
Majors Estate features a lighted tennis and basketball court at one of the highest points on the property at 2,900 feet in altitude; higher than Asheville's altitude of 2,134 feet. Our tennis and basketball courts are the highest courts east of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The courts are open 24 hours day.
GIANT CHESS SET

North Carolina is a true treasure to explore! Outdoor activities in the area include white water rafting, kayaking, fly fishing, and hiking trails such as the Rose Walk next to Lake Junaluska, and the Cataloochee Divide Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
CHIMNEY ROCK PARK
This park is filled with many natural wonders to share with your friends and loved ones including rock climbing and rappelling, hiking and fishing; all within a 75-mile view overlooking Lake Lura and the waterfalls of the Hickory Nut Gorge.
DUPONT STATE FOREST
Enjoy a three-mile round trip hike to three waterfalls (including Triple Falls, made famous by its appearance in the first Hunger Games movie), while experiencing gorgeous swimming holes, easy trail access and beautiful scenery. DuPont is also known as one of North Carolina's best mountain biking and horseback riding areas.
GORGES STATE PARK
Experience a hidden-gem. Hike through lush forests while taking an occasional dip in a refreshing natural swimming holes or stand before one of many beautiful waterfalls. The park is also home to nearly 125 rare plants and animal species, including 12 endangered or threatened.
