The Rocci Family at Majors Estate
As part of the Norman Majors Foundation, a family is selected, with the help of Community Based Care of Central Florida, (CBCCF) to enjoy an all expense paid trip to Majors Estate. The Rocci family was this years choice to enjoy the great outdoors with the Smoky Mountains as their backdrop. Here from their own words about their experience at Majors Estate...
"Major Estate was beautiful! As you pull up to the grand entrance you are greeted by a variety of animals. They have goats, horses, pigs, peacocks and even alpacas. The cabins sit on over 200 acres with a basketball court, tennis court, outdoor games and a river down the mountain. We stayed at the Taj cabin where we had plenty of space to relax, cook, bbq and play family games. We were there for week and were able to enjoy all the amenities.
We went hiking, rock hoping on the river and were also invited to a cook out up at 'Bar America'. Oh yea did I forget to tell you that they have their very own 3 story bar and lounge over looking rapids and their own chapel on property. We were able to meet the founder Tim Major who made our trip possible. Everyone was very nice and welcoming especially the grounds managers, Doug and Sherry. Off Majors Estate we went to Cherokee where we went extreme tubing and some shopping in the town. We were also fortunate to head to Asheville were we took a more relaxing trip down the river. Hiking, tubing, cooking out, relaxing and having good quality family time... Who could ask for more?!
Thank you again to Tim Major, Deveroux and CHS for making our trip possible!! It was truly a gift!!!"
Thank you Rocci Family for joining us at the Estate. We hope these memories will stay with you for a lifetime and look forward to seeing you again soon.
